The HC540w Blu Ray player hidden camera is compatible with both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz WiFi networks. Some WiFi networks may have additional layers of security (such as public WiFi networks like a coffee shop or business) that may need additional steps to connect properly, so if you are unsure of the security requirements for your specific network make sure to contact your network administrator to ensure compatibility.

Q. How can I watch my recorded video files?

To watch your recorded video files, simply remove the memory card from the camera and insert into your PC or Mac computer. Double click on the video files to play, or copy them to your desktop to save them if needed. We recommend VLC Media Player for best playback performance. You can also remotely watch your recorded videos via the smartphone app on your phone, so you don't have to remove the memory card if you want to simply leave it in the device.

Q. Can I stream to a PC or Macintosh desktop computer or laptop?

Currently WiFi hidden cameras like this one can stream to the smartphone app only, they do not stream to desktop or laptop computers.
