    Q. How is the bluetooth speaker camera powered?
    The device has two power supply options. The built in rechargeable battery is good for short term use, or in situations where you need to place the camera somewhere where there isn't an outlet nearby. For long term use, or 24/7 monitoring, we recommend plugging the hidden camera into AC power.
     
    Q. Are there any fees to view or record or stream my video?
    There are no fees or costs to view your camera feed or to stream video from it. All you need is your existing internet connection wherever the camera is physically located.
     
    Q. Can I add additional cameras to view through the app?
    Yes you can add as many additional cameras to the app as you need, so you can monitor multiple locations or rooms if needed.

    Q. How do I record my video?
    You can record video (in addition to live streaming) by inserting an optional memory card into the camera, and then selecting your recording mode (continuous or motion activated). You can then view your playback remotely on the app, or remove the memory card, and insert it into your desktop or laptop computer for playback.
     
    Q. Can I adjust my camera settings?
    Yes you can adjust over a dozen different camera and recording settings, such as video quality, audio streaming, contrast, resolution, file size, file length, motion sensitivity and much more.  All the settings can be adjusted via the smartphone app.
     
    Q. Can multiple people watch the stream (such as a spouse or partner)?
    Yes you can have multiple people able to access the live stream. To do this, just have each person download the streaming app to their smartphone, and then provide them with your camera ID and the unique password that you create during setup.
     
    Q. Do I need any special WiFi network or router for this camera?
    The HC318w is compatible with most WiFi networks. A 2.4GHz signal is needed (not the newer 5GHz signals), which most routers have. Some networks may have additional layers of security (such as public WiFi networks like a coffee shop or business) that may need additional steps to connect properly, so if you are unsure of the security requirements for your specific network make sure to contact your network administrator to ensure compatibility.
     
    Q. Can I live stream to a PC or Macintosh desktop computer or laptop?
    WiFi hidden cameras stream to smartphones or tablets only at this time, they do not stream to PC or Mac computers.

      Little bit of a learning curve for someone not very tech savvy, but the manual was thankfully easy to read (and had pictures of each step) so my wife and I were able to get it set up without too much difficulty
