This upgraded model is now compatible with both 2.4Ghz AND 5.8Ghz routers, so this will work with either type.

Q. Does the HC517w work as a functional power outlet?

The top outlet is functional and will work as a normal AC power outlet, however the camera is located inside the ground plug in the bottom outlet, so the bottom outlet is not functional..

Q. Are there any costs or fees to view, stream, or record my video?

There are never any additional costs to view, stream or record video from this or any of our WiFi hidden cameras. All you need is your existing WiFi network in your home or office or wherever the camera is located.

Q. Can I add multiple cameras to monitor different areas of my home or business?

Yes you can add additional WiFi cameras and monitor them all at the same time, even if they are in different locations (as long as each camera is connected to a nearby WiFi).

Q. How do I view my recorded video files?

There are two ways to watch your recorded video files from the memory card. The first method is to use the app, which lets you view the recorded videos from anywhere. The second method is by physically removing the memory card from the outlet camera and inserting it into your PC or Mac computer.

Q. Can multiple people view the live camera feed at once?

Yes if you share your login information with someone you trust (like a spouse or a partner) they can monitor the camera feed as well.

Q. Can I live stream to a PC or Macintosh desktop computer or laptop?

The camera streams to an iPhone or Android device only, it doesn't stream to PC or Mac computers.

Q. Does this hidden camera have night vision?

This camera does not have night vision. If you need a night vision hidden camera, we do carry other cameras that do include night vision.
