    Setting up this hidden camera is straightforward and takes just a few minutes. First plug the camera into AC power using the included power cord. Then download the app to your iPhone or Android smartphone or tablet, and then use the app to connect the camera to your existing WiFi network in your home or office or wherever you place the camera. The whole process takes about 5-10 minutes.

    The HC315w is an AC powered hidden camera, which means it plugs into any standard AC outlet for power. This can be plugged directly into a wall outlet, or an extension cord or surge protector. This allows the spy camera to operate continuously, and there are never any worries about battery life since it is always receiving 24/7 power from the wall outlet.
     
    Q. Are there fees to view, stream, or record my video?
    No there are not – your only cost is the price of the camera. There are no additional fees charged to view, stream, or record your video, or to use our free streaming app.

    Yes you can add as many additional cameras to the app, and monitor all the cameras from the same app. The cameras can even be located in different locations (such as one camera at your house, one at your office), as you can monitor them all from the same app, provided that each one is connected to a WiFi network where the camera is located.
     
    Q. How do I watch my live streaming video?
    To watch your streaming video, simply download our free live streaming app, and then you can watch your camera feed live on your smartphone or tablet from anywhere in the world.
     
    Q. What are motion detection/activity alerts?
    Motion detection alerts (also known as activity alerts) are push notifications sent to your smartphone, letting you know that your camera has detected activity or movement nearby. This could be something like an intruder breaking in, or just your kids coming home from school. You can set the camera to record video to a memory card when activity is detected, or just alert you so you can pull up your camera feed to see what’s going on.
     
    Q. Does this hidden camera record audio too?
    Yes the HC315w records/streams both audio and video, and also features push to talk via the built in speaker and microphone.
     
    Q. How does the push to talk work?
    The push to talk feature allows you to both listen in, as well as speak through the built in speaker in the camera. This can be useful if you want to just talk to your pets or kids, or to let an intruder know that you’ve caught them on camera and the police are on the way. Push to talk is accessed via the app on your smartphone, just press the microphone button.
     
    Q. Can multiple people watch the stream at once (such as my spouse or partner)?
    Yes multiple people can watch the live stream simultaneously. To do this, just have the additional person/people download the live streaming app to their smartphone or tablet, and then provide them with your camera ID, and the unique password that you create during setup.
     
    Q. Do I need any special WiFi network or router for this camera?
    The HC315w is compatible with most WiFI networks. A 2.4GHz WiFi signal is needed, which most routers have. Some networks may have additional layers of security (such as public WiFi networks like a coffee shop or business) that may need additional steps to connect properly, so if you are unsure of the security requirements for your specific network make sure to contact your network administrator to ensure compatibility.
     
    Q. How can I watch my recorded video files?
    There are two ways to watch your recorded video files (that are saved on the memory card). The first is to remotely view the videos via the streaming app. The second method is to physically remove the memory card from the camera, and insert it into your PC or Mac desktop or laptop computer.
     
    Q. Can I live stream to a PC or Macintosh desktop computer or laptop?
    WiFi hidden cameras like this one stream to the smartphone app only, they do not stream to desktop or laptop computers at this time.

      It's been a week since I've set this up, so far everything is running smoothly. The camera lens rotates which is cool, so you're not limited to one viewing angle. Night vision is good up to about 15 feet in the complete darkness.
