    Product FAQs

    Q. Can I put things in the backpack itself?
    The backpack can be used as a regular backpack in addition to being a hidden camera. The camera components are in the front pouch of the backpack, so we do not recommend putting anything in that compartment, but you can put things in the main part of the backpack.
     
    Q. How is the hidden camera powered?
    The backpack is powered by a rechargeable battery pack that can get up to 14-15 hours on a full charge. We also offer an extended battery option which can approximately double that battery life to 28-30 hours.
     
    Q. How easy it it to set up this camera?
    The camera is designed to be straightforward and easy to set up. We include a detailed user manual with step by step instructions, including screenshots, so you will be quickly able to get the camera up and running. Most people get it set up in about 5-10 minutes.
     
    Q. Can I record video from the camera too?
    Yes in addition to live streaming video you can also record video to a micro SD memory card (not included). The camera can accept up to a 128GB memory card, which can store weeks of video at a time.
     
    Q. Can I use the backpack spy camera without WiFi?
    Yes you can use the camera in P2P mode, which basically means you can access the camera via the app with the cameras built in WiFi signal within a short range - about 10-15 feet.
     
    Q. Does the backpack make any sounds or have any lights that would give it away?
    No it does not - the operation is totally covert, no one will know it is a camera unless you tell them. 
     
    Q. Does this camera work with newer 5.8Ghz WiFi?
    Yes it does - this model is now available in dual mode, which means it is compatible with both traditional 2.4GHz WiFi as well as newer 5.8Ghz WiFi.  
     
    Q. Does this camera have night vision?
    This is not a night-vision enabled camera, it needs regular lighting in order to be able to see clearly.
     
    Q. What are motion alerts and how do those work? 
    Motion alerts, when enabled, allow you to get instant push notifications (similar to text messages) via the app letting you know that the camera has detected motion nearby - such as a person walking by the camera. This allows you to quickly pull up the camera to see what is going on. 
     
    Q. How do I recharge the battery pack?
    We include a wall charger and a charging adapter which allows you to charge the battery via any standard wall outlet. The charging adapter has a green indicator which will let you know when the battery is fully charged.

      UPS sucks, but the camera is good

      UPS sucks and I wish they would learn how to deliver to my house properly. It is a rural address and they always have issues here. The camera itself however is 5 stars. App is decent and the video playback is pretty easy.
