The HC515w is a dual WiFi compatible hidden camera, meaning that is compatible with both 2.4GHz and newer 5.8GHz WiFi networks, ensuring compatibility with almost all routers on the market.
Q. Does the HC515w work as a functional AC power outlet?
The top outlet works as a fully functional power outlet, so you can plug any regular power cord into it. The bottom outlet is a hidden camera only.
Q. Are there any fees to view, stream, or record my video?
No there are never any fees to view, stream, or record video from this or any of our WiFi streaming hidden cameras. All you need is your existing WiFi connection wherever the camera is located.
Q. Can I add multiple cameras to monitor different areas of my home or business?
Yes you can. You can add as many additional cameras as you need, and monitor all the camera feeds from the same live streaming app on your smartphone. Cameras can even be placed in different physical locations (such as your home and your office), as long as each camera has a WiFi network nearby to connect to.
Q. How do I watch my live streaming video?
To watch your live streaming video, you’ll use our free live streaming app which you’ll download to your smartphone (iPhone or Android). The live streaming app is easy to use, and allows you to both set up and operate your camera, and adjust camera settings.
Q. What are motion detection/activity alerts?
Motion alerts allow you to get notified instantly if your camera detects activity or motion nearby. These alerts show up as push notifications on your phone, so you can quickly pull up your camera feed and see what’s going on.
Q. Can I record video from this spy camera?
Yes you can - in addition to live streaming, you can also record video to a micro SD card hidden inside the camera. This camera includes a massive 128GB memory card which can hold weeks of recordings at a time.
Q. How do I adjust the different camera settings?
Yes you can - via the app you can adjust over a dozen different camera settings including video resolution, streaming quality, time/date stamp, motion sensitivity, contrast, and many more. This allows you to customize the streaming and recording to your exact needs.
Q. How do I view my recorded video files?
There are two ways to view your videos recorded on the memory card. The first is to remove the memory card and insert into the card reader in your computer (PC or Mac) and double click on the files to play. We recommend VLC Media Player for playback for best performance. You can also remotely download the videos to your smartphone to view, however this can be time consuming since the files can be large and depends on your connection speed.
Q. Can multiple people view the live camera feed at once?
Yes multiple people can view the live stream at once. Just provide the additional people you would like to view the feed with the camera ID, and the password you create at setup.
Q. Can I live stream to a PC or Macintosh desktop computer or laptop?
The camera streams to an iPhone or Android device only, it doesn't stream to PC or Mac computers.

Love it!!
This was our first "nanny cam" purchase, so we were a little hesistant not knowing how they really work, but Alex on live chat helped us decide on this one, and we couldn't be more pleased. Good camera
Just like it says it does work as an outlet (top outlet only, bottom is camera). Video quality is adjustable, I've got it set on 720P to save on bandwith but 1080P looks good too
